Kathy Maria Kieling (Kitty) was born on March 7, 1956, to William Kieling, Sr. and Dorothy Glover_Kieling. Kathy attended St. Mary's Academy and Church Norfolk, VA. and Campostella Jr. High School, Norfolk, VA., Jamaica High School, Jamaica, N. Y. and Bernard Baruch College, New York, N. Y. Kathy received her Associates Degree from Truman College, Chicago, IL. in Recreational Therapy and Counseling. Her career for over 40 years, was serving the ederly and youth, as well as, recreation and counseling at risk youths.
Kitty enjoyed playing table tennis, basketball, dancing, tree planting, and traveling. Kitty had a very deep love for animals and loved raising dogs. Kitty also enjoyed long walks. Kitty entered into Eternal Rest on June 8, 2013 in Danville, Virginia. Kitty leaves to celebrate her life and legacy of love Her sisters; Irene Wright of California, Ms. Brenda of Dunwoody, GA; and Linda Kieling of Atlanta, GA. Brothers; William "Bill" Preston Kieling of Augusta, GA., Anthony "Tony" Kieling of Chicago, IL. Ben Dawson of Chesapeake, VA and 5 generations of nieces and nephews, 2 aunts, Pearl Holmes of Bronx, NY, and Mary McFarland of Elizabeth City, NC and a host of friends.
