Obituary for Mary Barnes Tucker
Mary Barnes Tucker 77 of 1504 N Main St. Roxboro, N. C. died on Wednesday, May 24, 2016 in her residence. She was the daughter of the late William and Ruth Johnson Barnes was raised in a christian home attending Church of God and Saints of Christ on Bell Street, Elizabeth City, N. C. She attended the public schools of Elizabeth City - Pasquotank County and graduated from P. W. Moore High School. After graduation she moved to New York and was employed by Bell Telephone and Telegraph until she retired. After retirement she moved to Roxboro, N. C, and was employed by Walmart were she was a cashier.
She leaves to cherish her memory Two sons; Tony Barnes and his wife Nanette of Gainesville, Fl. and Larry Gibbs of New York, NY. Two Sisters; Mary Johnson of Elizabeth City, N. C. and Carolyn Ricketts of Philadelphia, PA. Five Brothers; Johnnie Barnes and Frank Barnes of New York, NY, Harold Barnes and his wife Shirley of Va Beach, Va., Levi Barnes of Philadelphia, Pa., and Gerard of Guam.
