Obituary for Margaret Griffin
Margaret Griffin 81 formerly of 1569 Mill Pond Road, Elizabeth City, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in W. R. Winslow Memorial Home after a lingering illness. She was the daughter of the late Braxton and Lillian B. Riddick Williams. Raised in a Christian family she was a member of Lambs Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Newland, North Carolina. Margaret attended the public schools of Elizabeth City - Pasquotank County. She was employed as a House Keeper at Elizabeth City State University until her retirement. She is survived by One Son; Anthony Griffin and his wife Gail of Gates, North Carolina. One Sister; Mary Moore and her husband Rudolph of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Two Grandchildren; Rashad Stokley and Darren Stokley of New York, New York. Eight Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Three Sisters; Annie W. Griffin, Geneva Nixon, and Emma Moore. Five Brothers Robert Williams, Thera Williams, George L. Williams, Rudolph Williams and Joe Williams. Homegoing Service will be held on Monday November 3, 2014 at 2:00 P. M. in Lambs Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Newland, North Carolina by the Rev. Oscar Butts. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. A viewing will be held on Sunday,November 2, 2014 from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. in the Chapel of A. C. Robinson & Son Funeral Home, Inc. The family will receive friends fro 5 until 6:30 P. M.
