Obituary for Verna Laura Brake
It is with great sadness that the family of Verna Laura Winnifred Brake announce her passing at the Currituck Health & Rehabilitation Center in North Carolina on Wednesday, April 29th 2020 at the age of 59 years.
Leaving to mourn with loving memories is her husband George Kendell, North Carolina, her son Craig (Lindsey), Daughter Tara (Craig), her grandchildren Daymon, Caleb, Gina, Koltyn & Gordon. Verna was predeceased by her parents Scott & Flora Brake, Sister Sandra Barnes, Special cousin Vivian Parsons & Special Uncle Luke Crocker. Also leaving to mourn are a large circle of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Verna Lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed music, dancing, sun and the water. In respecting Verna’s wishes, burial will take place in her hometown, on the hill overlooking Trout River, as she would say.
The family would like to thank the Nurses and staff at Currituck Health & Rehabilitation Center for their services.
