Obituary for William Isaac Coston, Jr.
He was the son of William Coston, Sr. and the late Ora Belinda Hassell. William Jr. was married in these unions two children were born, He joined Porter's Chapel A. M. E. Zion Church at an early age. William graduated from Perquimans County High School in 1973. After graduation he joined the United States Army where he served his country faithfully for 3 years. He returned to North Carolina where he spent many years in Warren County and Nash County before making his permanent residence in Virginia. While living in Warren County he attended Halifax Community College, in Nash County he attended Edgecombe Technical College. His strong work ethics allowed him to hold numerous positions. While residing in Warren County he worked for JP Steven's, when he made his residence in Virginia he worked for the Ford Motor Company until they closed. He then took a position with Sara Lee/ Smucker until his deteriorating health would not allow him to work. William Jr. loved lifeand he loved his family. He enjoyed good music. He was a good friend to many, giving words of encouragement, and lending a helping hand. During his illness he never once complained. William Jr. words to all would be I just want to be easy "Easy like Sunday Morning". He leaves to cherish his memories two sons; William Tyrrell Coston and his wife LaVonne of Jacksonville, Florida and Quincey Alexander of Salem, Virgini; One Brother: Richard Coston of Greensboro, North Carolina; Two sisters: Joyce Coston Welch of Sanford, North Carolina, Martha Coston Byrd and her husband Larry, Sr. of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Three Grandchildren: Tyonna, Tyrrell, and Syree. He had a host of neices, nephews, cousin and friends. Condolences may be made to the family at www.robinsonfuneralandcremation.com
