Obituary for Thomas Willie Ragsdale
Thomas Willie Ragsdale 83 of 605 Laura Lee Street Elizabeth City, North Carolina departed this life on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the residence of his daughter. He was formerly of Inglewood, California. Born in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Fred and Mackie Holt Ragsdale. He was retired from Chevron Petroleum as an Engineer. He was a member of Morningside UMCC located in Inglewood, California. Mr. Ragsdale was a 20 year Veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He leaves to cherish his memory Three Daughters; Rwanda Ragsdale Farrer and her husband Jerry of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Tommie Ragsdale McCune of Hurt, Virginia and Nicole Ragsdale Colquitt and her husband Steven of Inglewood, California. One Son: Thomas Reginald Ragsdale and his wife Trudie of Yanceyville, North Carolina. Seven Grandchildren and Ten Great Grandchildren. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. in Corner Stone Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Walter L. Smith, Jr. A Homegoing service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 1:00 P. M. in Morningside UMCC, Inglewood, California. Entombment will follow in the Inglewood Park Cemetery. The family is receiving friends at the home of his daughter and son in law Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Farrer 605 Laura Lee Street, Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
