Mrs. Rubell White Spruill 77 of 807 Robinson Street, Elizabeth City, North Carolina entered into rest on Wednesday July 11, 2012 in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, Chesapeake, Virginia. Mrs. Spruill was the daughter of the late George o. and Maggie B. Overton White. Raised in a Christian home she was a life long member of The United House of Prayer for All People, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. She was the widower of the late Joe Spruill. She was educated in the public schools of Elizabeth City-Pasquotank, North Carolina. She leaves to cherish her memory Two Daughters; Mrs. Sandra Gibson and Mrs. Joanne Simmons (m. Melvin) of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. One son; St. Elder Paul C. Spruill of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. One Godson; St. Elder Bobbie White of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Two Sisters; Mrs. Shirley Sanchez of Allentown, Pa. and Mrs, Annie B. Williams (m. Wayman) of Bethlehem, Pa. Five Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter Mrs. Sandra Gibson, 802 Hunter Street, Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
