Raised in a Christian home he was the son of the late Lee Ernest and Dorothy White Sawyer.
He leaves to cherish his memory; Sisters, Dorothy Sawyer, Frances Sawyer, and Margaret Butts (Woodie) Brothers; Lee Sawyer (Melody), James Sawyer, and William Sawyer.
