Obituary for Nettie Pearl Trice Cassell
Nettie Pearl Trice Cassell 83 entered the gates of heaven on Saturday February 13 2016 after entering eternal sleep in the Chesapeake Health and Rehabilitation Center, Chesapeake, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Norman and Susie Speed Trice. ��Nettie attended the public schools of Wake County and was a graduate of Fuquay Consolidated High School in Fuquay - Varina, North Carolina. ��After high school she attended Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina. ��She married the love of her life Deacon Waverly R. Cassell and moved to Chesapeake, Virginia. ��Nettie was employed by Portsmouth City Schools as a Para Professional for Special Needs Students until she retired. ��She was a member of South Hill Baptist Church in Chesapeake, Va. ��Nettie was very active in her community and church and had been affiliated as a member of Chesapeake Women, Chesapeake - Virginia Beach Chapter of Links, Inc., Chesapeake Chums, Chesapeake Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, In., First Baptist Church Mass Choir, Missionary Ministry, and former Deaconess of Divine Baptist Church. �� She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Deacon Waverly R. Cassell of Chesapeake, VA. ��One Daughter; Sharon Cassell Robinson (Rev. R. Rodney) of Elizabeth City, N. C. ��One Son; Vincent Cassell of Chesapeake, Virginia. ��Two Grandchildren; ��R. Brandon Robinson (Johnae) of Apex, N. C., Alexandria D. Robinson of High Point, N. C., ��One Great Grandchild; Reese Brooklyn Robinson of Apex, N. C. ��Two Sisters; ��Marie Trice Mcquaig of Mount Vernon, New York, and Carolyn Trice Walker (Deacon Thomas L.) of Colonial Heights, VA., ��One Sister in Law; ��Bernice Trice of Burlington, N. C. ��Two Brothers; Rev. Harold Trice, Sr. ��(Artelia) ��of Durham, N. C., and ��Carl A. Trice of Fuquay - Varina, N. C. ��Two God-Children Marsha Ann Briggs Foster ( Jimmy) of Norfolk, VA and Kevin Walker (Mia) of Raleigh, N. C. �� Funeral service for Nettie will be held on Monday February 22, 2016 at 11:00 A. M. at First Baptist Church South Hill, Chesapeake, VA. viewing will be from 10:00 A. M. until the time of service. ��A Wake Service will be held Sunday February 21, 2016 in the Chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Home, Portsmouth, VA. from 3:00 P. M. until 6:00 P. M. The family will receive friends at the residence 3456 Gallberry Road, Chesapeake, VA. �� �� Condolences may be made to the family at www.robinsonfuneralandcremation.com. �� A. C.
