James Braxton Adams, Jr. 86 of 512 W. Cypress Street, Elizabeth City, North Carolina entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in Guardian Care Nursing Center, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The son of the late James Braxton, Sr. and Sarah Doxey Adams. Educated in the Public Schools of Elizabeth City-Pasquotank County he was a Army Veteran. Raised with christian values he was a member of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He was employed 60 plus years as a Truck Driver for Elizabeth City Brick Company, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by a Daughter, Jacqueline White. Two Brothers Alexander Adams and Johnny Adams and a Sister Sarah Bell. He leaves to cherish his memory Three Daughters, Brenda Adams Holley, Bernice Anita Lewis, and Hope Warren. Two sons Jerome Warren, Casper Tyrone Adams and his wife Jessica and Derrick Crawford whom he raised as a son. Two Sisters, Marjorie Winkfield and Elizabeth Adams. 23 Grandchildren. 31 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the home of his Nephew James E.
