Obituary for Marjorie Adams Winkefield
Marjorie Adams Winkefield 84 of 1306 Shiloh Street, Elizabeth City, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation 901 S. Halstead Blvd., Elizabeth City, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late James and Sarah Doxey Adams. She is the widower of William Winkefield. Educated in the public schools of Elizabeth City - Pasquotank she attended P. W. Moore High School. Mrs. Winkefield was a faithful member of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church serving as a Deaconess and a member of the Missionary Circle. She was employed a as a Seafood Processor numerous years at Globe Fish Company, Ashton Seafood Company and Quality Seafood. She was preceded in death by a sister and brothers Sarah Adams Bell, James Adams, Johnny Adams, and Alex Adams. She leaves to mourn her lost Four Adopted Daughters, Alberta Gregory (m. Lee), Teresa Snowden , and Anissa Reid of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Idonia Bell of Wilson, North Carolina. One Sister Elizabeth Adams of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. One Faithful Friend, Deborah Riddick and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gregory 817 Cedar Point Circle, Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
