Mr. Lindwood Walston entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation, 901 Halstead Blvd. Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The son of the late Clelie Spence Walston and Octavius Walston he was born in Manhattan, New York. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army receiving a Honorable Discharge. He was a member of New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church located in Shiloh, North Carolina. His last place of employment was a Security Guard in South Gate Mall, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife; Digna Lynn Walston of Camden, North Carolina. His father; Octavius Walston of Brooklyn, New York. Five sons; Lindwood Walston, Jr. of Baltimore, Md., Elijah Walston, Shaquille Joyner, and Marcus Joyner of Camden, North Carolina, and Leroy Brown of Elizbeth City, North Carolina. One Sister; Sharon Walston of Manhattan, New York. Four Brothers; Kenneth Walston (Dianne) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Kevin Walston of Upstate, New York, Carlton Walston of Baltimore, Maryland, and Artie Walston of Manhattan, New York. He was preceded in death by a brother Vaughn Walston. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren The family will reicive friends at the home of his wife Digna Walston 137 Smith Corner Road, Camden, North Carolina.
