Obituary for Daniel Wilson Saunders
Daniel Wilson "Bud" Saunders 59 of 7316 Caratoke Hwy., Jarvisburg, North Carolina entered from Labor to Reward on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at his residence. The son of the late Mary Lizzie Webster and Carlton Noah Mann. He was educated in the public schools of Currituck County graduating from Currituck Union High School. At a early age he joined Corinth Missionary Baptist Church and was Baptized under the Pastorate of the late Rev. W. J. Moore. He enlisted in the United States Navy where he retired with a Honorable Discharge. He worked as a Distributor for the Commissaries in Virginia. He worked part time for over 30 years as a Funeral Attendant at A. C. Robinson & Son Funeral Home, Inc. After relocation to Virginia he joined First Baptist Church, Chesapeake, Virginia. He leaves to cherish his memories: Foster Mother Jennette Armstrong of Jarvisburg, North Carolina. One Daughter Sgt. 1st Class Tamara LeToya Beatty and her husband Christopher of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Two sons Derrick O'Keith Saunders and his wife Joy of Knightdale, North Carolina, and Leonardo Lindsey of Hampton, Virginia. Twelve Sisters: Debbie Lindsey, Priscilla Jones, Carla Walcott all of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Phonda Morning of Jarvisburg, North Carolina, and Clara Wilson of Hertford, North Carolina,Rosalind Epps, Amy Harris, Valorie Mann and Tanya Mann of Portsmouth, Virginia. Bonita Mann preceded him in death, Florence Wilson of Camden, North Carolina, Myra Barnes of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Linda Everette of Jarvisburg, North Carolina. Eleven Brothers: Ricky Tillett of Creswell, North Carolina, Percy Daniels of Manteo, North Carolina, John Saunders of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Lindsey Saunders of Barco, North Carolina, Lorenzo Harris and Noah Mann of Portsmouth, Virginia, Melvin Mann of Pittsburgh, Pa., Benjamin Mann of Lancaster, Texas, Roger Mann of Chesapeake, Virginia, James Armstrong of Manassas, Virginia, Tony Armstrong of Grandy, North Carolina and Jeffrey Armstrong of Jarvisburg, North Carolina. Ten Grandchildren: ShiKeela Saunders, Niema Spruill, Janiqua Brickers, Khari Saunders, Kasaun James, Jahmez Beatty, Aaron Saunders, Kimora Beatty, Nevach Lindsey, Damian Lindsey. The family will receive friends at the residence of Mrs. Jeanette Armstrong 7316 Caratoke Hwy. Jarvisburg, North Carolina.
