Bernice Lena Brockett Warren 90 departed this life on Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Concordia Transitional Care and Rehabilitation.
She was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia the daughter of the late Johnnie and Beatrice Allen Brockett. Bernice was educated in the public schools of Virginia Beach. She moved to Elizabeth City, North Carolina and was married to Roy Warren until his death. Bernice was blessed with six children, two sons and four daughters which she leaves to cherish her memory. Minister Dorothy Armstrong of Pasadena, MD., Bishop Clara Malvin of Greensboro, NC, Bernice Lewis and Hope Warren both of Elizabeth City, NC. Roy Warren, Jr. (Leida) of Camp Springs, MD, and Jerome Warren (Jean) of Winston - Salem, NC. Twelve Grandchildren, Twenty Three Great Grandchildren and Five Great Great Grandchildren. Three Sisters; Shirley Gordon of Virginia Beach, Virginis, Elsie Mangham and Dorothy English both of Cincinnati, Ohio
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:00 A. M. in St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Ricky Banks, Pastor. Interment will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Her remains will lay in repose at the church from 10:00 A. M. until the time of service. Viewing will be Thursday March 15 2018 in the chapel of the funeral home from 5 until 8:00 P.M..
