Obituary for Agnes Wilson
Agnes M. Wilson 91, of Blackwood, N. J. transitioned on Tuesday, February 13th, 2018 at Agnes was born in Gregory, N.C. in Currituck County on February 25th 1936 to Ellen Bell and Andrew Wilson, and was raised by her Aunt Odell after their passing. A resident of Atlantic City for over 60 years, she attended Atlantic City High School and was a seamstress at Sterns and Kravits Clothing before working at Resorts and Caesars. She was a member of the Daddy Lou’s Social Crew and volunteered at the Atlantic City Hospital and the Stanley Homes Village. She attended Second Baptist Church. She loved to walk, especially on the boardwalk and at the uptown track. Agns loved to do puzzles and bake. Her specialties were: zucchini bread, sweet potato pie and pineapple upside- down cake. She was always willing to extend a helping hand and share a moment of her time with anyone who needed it. Preceding her in death are her Parents; Three Brothers, Robert, Charles and Clint. Her husband Albert Gantt; her daughter, Sue Bently and her Granddaughter, Sheneaki Palmer. With Agnes time done on this place we call Earth, she leaves behind her Son, Estan Wil Sonus (Stanley Wilson); her Two Grandchildren, Caurice Camper of Williamston, NJ and Sharese Palmer of Bradenton, Fl; her Granddaughter in Law, Tresta and a host if nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24th at 11:00 A..M. at Mikals Funeral Parlor 30 North Pennsylvania Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ 08401. Viewing will be from 9:00 until 11:00 AM. Burial will be Tuesday at 12 noon in Wilson Family Cemetery, Gregory, North Carolina with A. C.
